Challenge
Challenge
The project explored the creation of a brand identity that balances cultural authenticity with a modern dining experience. The goal was to appeal to both traditional diners and a younger, urban audience within a competitive hospitality landscape.
Process
I explored Zen philosophy and Japanese symbolism to ground the brand in cultural depth while maintaining contemporary relevance. Key motifs included the Torii gate, symbolising transition, and the Enso circle, representing enlightenment. These elements were paired with minimalist typography to create an identity that felt elegant, restrained, and modern.
Result
The final identity delivers a cohesive and versatile visual system that demonstrates how authenticity and contemporary design can coexist. The project showcases a strong understanding of cultural storytelling, brand consistency, and adaptability across hospitality touchpoints.
Focus
Minimal hospitality branding rooted in Japanese symbolism and contemporary design principles.
Services
Brand identity, logo design, typography, menus, packaging, interior and digital assets.
