I designed digital assets for the FIFA 21 Midnight Ramadan League, collaborating with EA Sports and the league’s founder. My goal was to blend Islamic geometric patterns with modern football visuals, celebrating grassroots football and raising awareness of British Asian representation.
Process
I began with research into Islamic geometric patterns for cultural authenticity. Working with EA Sports’ marketing team, I developed designs merging heritage with modern football aesthetics. Using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, I created kits, banners, and digital assets, refined based on feedback.
Result
The campaign engaged the UK Asian community, raising awareness of British Asian representation in football. Broadcast on BBC and Channel 4, it gained national attention, leading the England FA to focus on increasing Asian players in national teams.
