The Brief

The brand name for the fast-casual Japanese restaurant, “Nippon Zen”, aims to introduce the authentic taste of Japan through exquisite dishes using only the freshest ingredients. The use of Zen style depicts the characteristic of the Japanese culture, qualities which are vital for the brand to reflect an active, fun and friendly personality.

Name Style

It was vital to include the elements within culture of Japan. I had decided to add the Japanese’s torii & enso, as they are more relatable to the Japanese’s Zen. Also, it creates the logo stands out more visually eye-catching. The name of the font used in this logo is “Nexa Bold”.
